In 1989, an Assembly Bill mandated that Californians reduce the amount of waste going into our landfills by 50% by the year 2000. Santa Clara County's efforts to achieve these goals can be seen in the many innovative recycling options that they participate in on a daily basis. The City of Campbell is working hard to meet these goals and the curbside recycling service is one of the many programs Campbell offers to reduce waste in the landfills. The Center for the Development of Recycling (CDR) has more information on how every resident can participate.
